today i got to thinking about friendship.

there are those that are fresh and new, 

those that are merely acquaintances,

those that are on-again, off-again

and those that are old and familiar.

sometimes we tend to forget the significance of a real friend.

we get caught up in ourselves. have exciting adventures. get new jobs. move far away. find boyfriends. get buried in never-ending to-do lists. work long hours. sleep. pamper ourselves. fall in love. get married. buy a house. celebrate birthdays. have babies. and wonder why our lives are moving so fast.

 the list goes on...

do you ever wonder what happens to your friendships in the midst of it all?

what happened to the times we laughed so hard our stomach hurt?
